Rental Fees

The rental fee is $140.00 per month for the complete set of instrumental books, plus shipping and handling fees. There is a $200.00 refundable deposit required.

We currently have three orchestrations available: "The Pirates of Penzance", "H.M.S. Pinafore", and
"The Gondoliers". The required number of musicians is highly flexible.

 

Flexible Instrumentation

"The Pirates of Penzance"

Orchestrated for a maximum of 14 musicians, but can be reduced further:

• Flute (doubling on piccolo is optional)
• Oboe (doubling on English Horn is optional)
• Clarinet 1 in Bb and A
• optional Clarinet 2 in Bb and A
• Bassoon
• Horn in F
• Trumpet
• Percussion
• optional Mallets (xylophone/orchestra bells)
• Violin 1
• Violin 2
• Viola
• Cello
• Bass
  

This orchestration can be further reduced by adding a pianist to the "Pirates of Penzance" orchestra. We recommend using the G. Schirmer piano book since it is 100% compatible with this arrangement. Piano book not included.

If you add a pianist, we recommend eliminating instruments in the following order for the best results: Mallets, Clarinet 2, Viola, Violin 2, Cello, Horn in F, Bassoon, Bass, Percussion, Trumpet, Oboe, Clarinet 1, Flute, Violin 1

 

"H.M.S. Pinafore"

Orchestrated for a maximum of 12 musicians, but can be reduced further:

• Flute (doubling on piccolo is optional)
• Oboe (doubling on English Horn is optional)
• Clarinet in Bb and A
• Bassoon
• Horn in F
• Trumpet
• Percussion
• Violin 1
• Violin 2
• Viola
• Cello
• Bass

• Bassoon
• Bass

Conductor's scores

There are no conductor's scores available at this time. Typically the music director conducts from the
G. Schirmer piano/vocal book which is 100% compatible with this arrangement.
